MIG, TIG & Steel Welding

Achieving the Strongest Link

The highly experienced millwrights and welders at CND Industrial Services handle all forms of precision metalwork including advanced welding. We specialize in welding carbon steel and stainless steel using the best metal inert gas (MIG) and tungsten inert gas (TIG) welding equipment and are proud to have earned a reputation in the Metro-Atlanta area of Georgia for uncompromised excellence.

  • MIG welding, also known as gas metal arc welding (GMAW), uses a wire feed in the form of a consumable electrode that is automatically fed through the welding gun with a continuous flow of shielding gas. It is a particularly clean process that enables our MIG welding operators to achieve smooth, regular welds without any slag that has to be chipped or ground away.

  • TIG welding, also known as gas tungsten arc welding (GTAW), is also a very clean welding process that utilizes a shielding gas and therefore eliminates the need for using flux and prevents slag from forming. Unlike other arc welding processes, including MIG welding, TIG welding relies on a non-consumable tungsten electrode.

The metals we weld depend entirely on the needs of our customers. In general terms:

  • Carbon steel is categorized by the percentage of carbon in the steel. The more steel it contains the harder and more brittle it becomes, and the more difficult it is to weld. Manganese is often added to the steel to make it easier to weld. Carbon steel is used across the board in most of the industries we serve.

  • Stainless steel contains chromium which prevents corrosion. There are different types of stainless steel, all of which are more expensive than ordinary carbon steel or mild steel. Many of the industries we service rely on stainless steel machinery and equipment.

Our welders are trained to work with all types of carbon and stainless steel. We are also able to offer aluminum welding and will quote on resistance spot welding (RSW), and stud welding projects.

We appreciate the fact that welding well is a challenge, and that it takes years of experience to achieve the kind of top quality work required in industrial environments. Stainless welding, in particular, takes dedication to master. For this reason, we work with a highly skilled team of certified welders who get the job done quickly, accurately, and according to exacting industry standards.

Welding Services

CND Industrial Services tackles varied industrial services including fabrication of metal and plant services for a range of industries including:

  • Baking and food

  • Brewery

  • Pharmaceutical

  • Automotive and tire

  • Chemical

  • Concrete

  • Packaging

The nature of these industries and the various plant used for manufacturing involve heavy equipment and machinery, which we construct, install, modify, and repair. We also offer a wider range of plant services including plant modifications, plant upgrades, plant maintenance, plant decommissioning, and plant shutdown.

While our services, including metal fabrication, are certainly not limited to welding, we are totally dependent on our welders to ensure that fabrication of machinery and equipment, as well as machinery installations, maintenance, upgrades, and so on, whether for new premises or plant relocations, is top dollar.

So, whether your job only involves welding or requires any other type of fabrication that includes welding, contact us to find out how we can help you.
